Attorney Biography: Joe Hartwig

Joe is a senior associate attorney at Sigler & Nelson LLC. He is a trust, estate, and probate attorney who practices in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration, elder law, special needs and Medicaid planning, fiduciary representation, as well as conservatorships and guardianships. Joe has been practicing law in these areas since graduating from the University of Colorado Law School in 2013. During his career, Joe has previously worked as a Judicial Fellow for the Denver Probate Court and worked for the Office of the Public Administrator for the City and County of Denver.

Joe is currently a member for the Colorado Bar Association Trust & Estate Section and the Medicaid Subcommittee of the Elder Law Section. In his estate planning and probate practices, Joe always focuses on helping clients achieve their financial and tax goals but believes that proper planning and guidance should also help preserve truly priceless family and personal relationships as well as empower clients and their loved ones to maintain active, meaningful, and interesting lives. In his own life, Joe can often be found trail running at sunrise, skiing or paddleboarding with his family, travelling, or drinking coffee and working on one of his many unfinished creative writing projects.
